In 1975, a small group of local families began working together to develop programs and provide support to people with a disability, their families, and to assist others in the community who were disadvantaged or underprivileged. More than 45 years on, their vision and commitment has evolved into Mpower Inc, an accredited, community-based agency taking the lead in providing quality services that empower people to have meaningful connections to their communities throughout south-west Victoria. Offering a range of services and community programs across south-west Victoria, our funding is received from government sources, primarily the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services and also donations from philanthropic trusts. Mpower Warrnambool continues to work towards their vision of a community inspired and empowered by people of all ages, abilities and differences.

45 years ago, Mpower started with a group of local families concerned about the lack of support for people with a disability and the under-privileged in our community. Bringing together dedicated volunteers in Warrnambool, Mpower has now grown to become a leader in community based support services, however we still need your help.
Volunteering with Mpower can be highly rewarding, and we appreciate all of the help we receive. We recognise the invaluable contribution made by our volunteers, and offer full training and support to these incredible people who give their time freely for others.
If you’ve ever considered offering your time to a community volunteer organisation, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us on (03) 5561 8111 if you would like to make a difference as a volunteer with Mpower.
