Who is Mpower

Mpower is a well-established, accredited not-for-profit community-based organisation servicing South West Victoria. Established in 1975, the operation of Mpower has grown from a small voluntary service to an accredited agency employing more than 100 staff, providing a range of clinical and support

services to over 1400 families regionally. Mpower now provides a range of disability services and community services and we specialising in supporting children, young people and families reaching their full potential.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support Worker in Residential Care, you will provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people living in residential care settings. This is a hands-on, dynamic role that requires confidence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to respond to complex behaviours, to support them build life skills and promoting a safe and nurturing home environment.

Highly regarded:

  • Cert IV Child, Youth & Family Intervention 
  • Experience in residential care, youth work, or OOHC settings
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and behaviours of concern

Employment terms and conditions are in line with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 with the applicable classification Level 1 or 2 depending on qualification.
