Carers Connection Community Scarf Project
Help Us Knit a Community of Care
As part of Carers Week 2026, Mpower's Carers Connection program is inviting carers, families, friends and community members to come together and contribute to a very special community project.
We are creating a Community Scarf that celebrates and recognises the incredible contribution of unpaid carers across South West Victoria. Each knitted section will represent the care, support, strength and compassion that carers provide every day.
When all of the individual pieces are joined together, the completed scarf will serve as a powerful visual reminder of the many caring hearts that help strengthen our community.
How You Can Get Involved
Participation is simple and open to everyone.

Whether you are an experienced knitter or just starting out, your contribution is welcome.
This is an inclusive project where everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of age, ability, experience or whether you identify as a carer yourself.
Together, let's create something meaningful that recognises and celebrates the caring hearts that strengthen our community every day.
An Inclusive Community Project
The Community Scarf Project is open to everyone, regardless of age, ability, experience or whether you identify as a carer yourself.

Why This Matters
Carers provide essential support to family members, friends and loved ones who may be living with disability, illness, mental health challenges, age-related conditions or other support needs.
The Community Scarf Project is a meaningful way to acknowledge and celebrate their contribution while helping to build greater understanding of the role carers play in our community.
Together, every stitch will tell a story of care, connection and community.
