Settlement Date

Great news!  In December 2022, Mpower announced the purchase of land, buildings and business (North Edge Child Care Centre) located at the corner of Mortlake and Wangoom Roads in North Warrnambool.   We are excited to share with you that settlement of that purchase is now scheduled to take place this Friday 21 April, with Mpower commencing management of the Childcare Centre on Monday 24 April. 

This purchase aligns with our strategic plan and our vision for a community inspired and empowered by people of all ages and abilities. It is a fabulous new chapter for Mpower as we can now commence planning for a community hub to be constructed at the Wangoom Rd site, with the aim of having an opening date late in 2025.  This will enable us to increase our service delivery and our support of families far into the future in a purpose-built, state of the art environment.

On a practical level, this purchase will not impact on the Mpower services and support currently being delivered, however as we go through the planning stages over the course of this year, we will be inviting input from all interested sectors of the community to ensure we can create a new facility that meets community needs. We encourage you to contribute your thoughts and ideas to those plans.
