Mpower Free Community Event – Celebrating 50 Years!

Mpower Inc. is turning 50 and we’re inviting the whole community to celebrate with us! Join us for a free, family-friendly event packed with entertainment, fun activities and something for everyone to enjoy as we mark five decades of empowering people and strengthening families across South West Victoria.

On Friday 21 November 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:30pm, Mpower’s offices at 71 Koroit Street, Warrnambool will come alive with vibrant activities for all ages.  Join Mpower for an afternoon of food, live music, children’s entertainment, and exciting giveaways - a celebration for the entire South West community to enjoy and be part of.

Founded in 1975 around a kitchen table by a small group of local families, Mpower has grown into a trusted, accredited not-for-profit organisation supporting people of all ages and abilities. From early childhood intervention and disability support to carer services and community programs, Mpower has remained true to its purpose of supporting individuals and communities to reach their full potential.

Over the past 50 years, Mpower has:

• Supported thousands of children, young people, and adults to build confidence and independence
• Delivered inclusive, person-centred services across Warrnambool, Moyne, Corangamite, Glenelg and Southern Grampians Shires
• Grown to a team of over 100 dedicated professionals including therapists, support workers and social workers.

“This anniversary is a tribute to the vision and commitment of our founders, and to the resilience and strength of the people we serve,” said Janette Lowe, CEO of Mpower. “We’re proud to continue building a community inspired and empowered by people of all ages and abilities.”
